At our mill in Røros, we weave each wool throw from Norwegian lambswool, building the pattern directly into the textile. The jacquard construction allows colour and pattern to reverse from one side to the other, while brushing lifts the wool fibres to give the finished throw a softer, fuller surface.
We have produced wool textiles in Røros since 1940, and the same material and weaving knowledge continues to inform how each throw is made today.

 

Mineral is designed by Skogstad & Wærnes and takes its starting point from the processing and transformation of natural materials. An irregular central composition is contained by a solid-coloured frame, creating tension between organic form and geometric order. The colour palette connects the textile to the materials and landscape surrounding the Røros mill.
